BetaCrew Labs is hiring a Full Stack Software Engineer to join its engineering team in Mumbai. In this role, the Full Stack Software Engineer will participate in the complete software development lifecycle, from understanding requirements and breaking down complex problems to implementing, testing, debugging, and improving software solutions. Strong knowledge of C# and .NET is particularly important, while familiarity with SQL, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, or ExpressJS can provide an additional advantage. The position also places significant importance on data structures and algorithms, problem-solving ability, software architecture, and writing clean and robust code. Engineers will work closely with other team members to ensure that applications remain scalable, readable, maintainable, and aligned with business requirements. Key Responsibilities

Develop Full Stack Applications
Design, develop, test, and maintain software components across frontend and backend layers while following established development practices and engineering standards.
Build Robust Backend Solutions
Use C# and .NET to develop reliable backend services, application logic, APIs, and other server-side components that support scalable product functionality.
Develop User-Facing Features
Contribute to frontend development using technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.js, ensuring that application features are functional, maintainable, and responsive.
Solve Complex Technical Problems
Analyze challenging engineering problems, divide them into smaller and manageable components, and develop modular solutions using structured problem-solving techniques.
Apply Data Structures & Algorithms
Use strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms to design efficient solutions, improve application performance, and solve complex computational problems.
Write Clean & Maintainable Code
Produce well-structured, readable, reusable, and robust code while following appropriate programming principles and maintaining long-term code quality.
Collaborate With Engineers
Work closely with other developers and technical team members to review implementations, discuss architectural decisions, identify potential issues, and improve the overall codebase.
Balance Technical Debt
Understand the trade-offs between delivering business requirements quickly and maintaining long-term technical quality, making thoughtful decisions around technical debt.
Use AI-Assisted Development
Work effectively with agentic AI and AI-assisted development tools, using strong prompt engineering techniques to generate useful, controlled, and technically relevant outputs.
Debug & Improve Software
Investigate application defects, identify root causes, implement fixes, and continuously improve reliability, performance, maintainability, and user experience.
Contribute to Technical Decisions
Participate in discussions around application architecture, technology choices, implementation approaches, and engineering practices as the product evolves.
Learn & Adapt Continuously
Stay curious about new technologies, development methodologies, AI tools, and software engineering practices while becoming comfortable solving unfamiliar problems independently.

Requirements & Eligibility

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational background in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
Candidates with 0–3 years of professional software engineering experience can apply. Fresh graduates with strong programming fundamentals and meaningful academic or personal projects may also be considered.
Strong hands-on knowledge of C# and .NET is an important requirement for this Full Stack Software Engineer position.
Excellent understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms is highly important, with the ability to apply algorithmic thinking to practical software development problems.
Good programming fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, modular design, debugging, exception handling, and writing maintainable code.
Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js, SQL, or ExpressJS will be an advantage and can help candidates contribute across different parts of the technology stack.
Understanding of frontend and backend development concepts, APIs, databases, application architecture, and software development lifecycle practices is beneficial.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to understand complex requirements and convert them into smaller, structured technical tasks.
Ability to work effectively with AI-assisted development and agentic AI tools, including the ability to create precise and effective prompts for technical workflows.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, along with the ability to work productively in a dynamic and relatively unstructured startup environment.
Strong ownership, work ethic, curiosity, and willingness to learn are important qualities for this position.
